Christmas

Smiling by the Christmas tree

On Christmas Day we were going to do a play.  We had the whole stage planned out and even set it up.  It turned out that we didn't get to the play because we were too busy having fun!

We had Grandma Wally, Grandpa Wally, Grandpa, the Poston family, and the Gilbert family.  (Denise was recovering from surgery in a rehab center.)  My mom made great soup while Carter chased us around everywhere.  He also shared his candy, yummy!

We gave Grandma Wally some flowers, but when we dropped her off, the nurse at her home said that there was poison in the flowers and was afraid she might eat them!!  We took them home with us.

We all had a great time playing and the parents had a great time talking.  We had very merry Christmas!  It was tons and tons of fun!

The adults minus Uncle James, Uncle Keith, and Dad.

Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve my grandma did a lovely Christmas party.  We helped her decorate the house before the party.  We opened wonderful presents, talked, and had a feast.  There was a whole lot of food!

The Gilberts came the night before.  We also had Aunt Lynn, Uncle James, and Savannah.  We had a special guest, Great Grandpa B.  (I think he should be called Totally Awesome GRANDpa!!!)

Carter got a card game called, "Sleeping Queens" so most of the kids played it.  Later, a surprise Santa came and delivered some other presents.  We were totally spoiled!  Aunt Sue's family came when Santa was there.  It was funny because they read Carter instead of Cruz on the tag.  When Carter opened it, there was Cruz's little baby clothes for Carter.

At the end we went to go look at Christmas lights with the Poston family and the Gilbert family. We had a great Christmas Eve!!!

Rex Joins Our Family

Me, Joy, Luke & Rex

I am so excited that we got a dog.  His name is Rex.  We went to California to see my cousins. While we were there we went to a shelter.  I saw a dog I really wanted, but my mom and dad didn't want the dog I wanted.  He was very hyper and licked a lot.

On the last day my parents told us that they were going to eat lunch, but instead they went to the shelter to get Rex.  When they got home we were all shocked.  Luke wanted to name him Rex and we all agreed.

We went home with him in the car.  It was a long ride and he did pretty well.  When he got home he was so energetic.  When he goes on walks he perks up.  We all loved Rex and we still do!

Resting together
